Dissonance as a Design Effect

This project sets out to uncover a more explicit and accessible method for interpreting and navigating inconsistencies and "wrongness" inherent in the process of meaning creation. By delving into cultural perceptions surrounding this subject, it becomes evident that embracing dissonance has played a crucial role throughout history in the development of new structures and the deconstruction of conventional forms.

This study seeks to dismantle binary oppositions, particularly those associated with perceiving and interpreting, order and chaos, dynamic and stillness, and opening and closing. By exploring the interstitial space between these polarities, we aim to uncover innovative pathways for understanding and engaging with the creation of meaning.
